A shoulder month with wet-season rain

What has changed is the volume, down from May's 173 mm, and it is enough for the season's own classification to shift from green to shoulder even while the calendar still says rainy season.

On the circuits in June
Game stays dispersed rather than concentrated, so this is a month for people who value quiet over guaranteed sightings. Birding stays strong, and reduced crowds mean a guided walk or a self-drive circuit at $10 per vehicle can feel like having the reserve to yourself.
Roads are gradually more forgiving than in May, though the flood advisory that covered March through May has technically lapsed by June, current conditions are still worth a call to your lodge before the longer drives.
Packing and booking
Apoka's green-season rate of $880 per person still applies through June, and the wider market, unpublished as most of it is, shows no sign of seasonal pricing at all. Nothing here requires early booking in June; a month's notice is generous.
Pack accordingly: a proper warm layer, not just a fleece, for dawn game drives. Nights are already dropping toward the year's low, and an open vehicle at 06:30 will find the cold before the sun does.
