The Narus pools are regaining their advantage as rain fades, and the remaining water pulls buffalo, giraffe and the resident predators back onto the familiar circuits. The UK Foreign Office's flood advisory still covers north-eastern Uganda through November, so a road check with your lodge before longer drives remains sensible even this late in the season.
The Kidepo Valley's sand river is likely drying out again by now, making the 30 km drive north and its dry riverbed walk a realistic option once more.

This is the sweet spot for anyone weighing cost against conditions: rates have not yet moved to the high-season figures that arrive with December and January, but the game viewing is already trending the right way. Kidepo overall does not require the months-out booking that some southern African parks demand, and November is the easiest proof of that.
This is also the month to lock in an Ik community walk or a Karamojong manyatta visit, both of which need advance arrangement, before the operators get busier with December arrivals.
